Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch contemporary artist based in the east of the Netherlands (Hengelo/Borne region). She works in mixed media, abstract expressionism, and sculptural relief, using acrylic, oil paint, and organic elements. Her practice explores nature, resilience, human emotion, and spirituality through structured, tactile compositions that blur painting and relief sculpture. Lubbers received significant recognition in 2024, being nominated by actor and artist Thom Bierdz for the World Art Awards, achieving 5th place for one work and 2nd place overall as Most Innovative Artist of 2024. She has been named one of the 100 best female artists in the world and exhibits internationally in Italy, Venice, Belgrade, Belgium, Florence, China, and notably at Times Square in New York. Her signature work Back to my Roots (2024) features a white minimalist sculpture symbolizing fragility and resilience.
